With the golden-Age Green Lantern making the papers today, Today’s Guest Norbert is his creator, Martin Nodell.
Marty was a staple at cons across the country, and was always happy to meet his fans. I’d lay odds that he’d be cool with this new change.
There’s a popular urban legend about Alan Scott, that he was originally to be named “Alan Ladd” being an anagram of “Aladdin” (the other guy with the magic lamp) but the actor came along and they thought there would be confusion. Long since disproved, but too fun a story not to keep telling.
Vaneta rogers did a good history of the character at Newsarama today, in case you need a bit of history on him.
(P.S. - They’re just friends.)
